Gav with the Pittsburgh update and report from the madness at midnight for pitt (koz remembers back in the day when we use to attend this grand event)....

I went to Midnight Madness on Friday and the hoopers appear to be picking up right where they left off. Julius Page jumped over a manager to win the dunk contest (the guy was standing straight up) and Carl Krauser looks smooth and poised. Could be a great season. The Steelers looked better but sometimes it's tough to tell whether the Bengals are just that bad. The D-line looked a little better, the D-backs still a little weak. Maddox was solid, though he still tries to force the ball into spots a little too much, ala Kurt Warner, so when he misses they pick the ball off. Bus and the line looked better, receivers are still playing great. We'll see on Monday night, it'll be a great test.
