Some quick hits today...

First up an interesting interview with Vin Diesel, who obviously lives the Diesel Style.

The Eonomist offers some advice for those that are banking on gold for a safe haven or to get a solid return.

It is worth remembering that although gold has been doing well in recent years, its price is still below the level reached during much of the 1980s and 1990s (see chart). As an indicator of what might happen to gold, pessimists point to the fate of silver. Central banks used to hoard the white metal, much as they hoard gold now. But they have long since sold their stocks, and the price of silver, at under $5 an ounce, is back to where it was two centuries ago. Analysts reckon that if central banks ditched all their gold, its value could tumble to $70 an ounceā€”a fifth of the current level.

Funny article by Davey D that states that Bill O'Reilly was the best MC of 2002 (you need to page down a little to read it). Needless to say there is no love from the hiphop community for O'Reilly, but Davey gives him respect for controlling the situations for his daily posts at rapstation.com.

The dopest MC for 2002 was Bill O'Reilly. He's been stepping up the mic all year long and blasting cats left and right. He's been shutting cats down left and right and there's been no audible response from the cats he targets. I mean I don't agree with dude, but damn what else can I say? He's been on the air issuing challenges.. He's been calling cats out telling them to step on up to his show and he'll slap them something silly. He's been taking money out of cat's pocket and totally rearranging the game. Man he even shut cats down when he went on Ed Lover and Dr Dre's show on Power 105. He controlled the interview and it was their show! My question is 'Who's Next'? You can't deny his skillz... He hasn't lost a battle yet. Maybe Mobb Deep should re-record the song 'Shook Ones' and let O'Reilly kick a verse cause he definitely got cats shook...
WOW...that is all that one can say after the PITTSBURGH STEELERS (Stillers...for you pghers) come back to defeat the Brownies in one of the best playoff games ever. We did it up in style of course at the Diesel mansion where former Burghers, Bill, Melissa, Steve, Ian and myself watched the miracle comeback (we also had filets, shrimp and salmon at half time cause we do it right here). My brother was there and said it was just so so sick to experience it live. Read about how shocked even the Steeler players were at the come back, thanks to ESPN.

"You know what?" said Ward, who spent the afternoon catching passes and exhorting some hang-dog teammates. "For once I really mean it when I say I'm going to have to look (at the videotape), because I can't tell you how we did it. A lot of character, I guess, and perseverance. But when it comes to X's and O's, man, I'm a blank. I just don't know."
Here we go Stilllers.....
